My fundraising goal for Immersion was to make ALL my payments on time. Meaning that I'd have $6,000 in my AIM account before June 21st, and $9,000 by July 6th, and $11,900 by August 21st. Well, today's the day of my first payment, and when I checked my account yesterday (for the billionth time) I didn't have anything close to $6,000.
I called Stacy at AIM on Monday, it was SO good to talk with her. I won't go into all the details but talking with her was such a blessing. Anyway, she told me that it's okay to miss this first payment…
So, this morning I got up knowing in my head that unless God did something amazing I didn't make my payment, and pushed this payment out of my mind. I didn't think about the money 'til this afternoon when one of my kids asked, "what day is it?" "The 21st of June." I said, then had this sinking feeling. Oh, I didn't make my payment… and that's when God asked me, "So what are you going to do?" I thought for a moment trying to figure it out, and thought, God, I'm going to praise you…
After coming home from my nanny job. I grabbed Derek (my laptop), and flop into the couch to check my AIM account. As I wait for the page to load I said, "God will you give me $100 dollars?" When the page came up I saw that the amount had increased since yesterday, but I was discouraged when on the first line was my name… BUT on the line below someone gave me – get this – $100!
GOD IS SO GOOD!
God is providing, and I'm learning that though I don't always see how He is providing that doesn't mean He isn't doing so. I'm so encouraged when I read stories of how God answers prayers and provides for His children, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So will you, please comment below and share a time when God provided something you needed or answered any kind of prayer?
Update: Though it was okay to miss this first payment today, AIM isn't going to be as flexible for the second payment. So, in the next 15 days I need $4,286. If you would like to partner with me in this trip please:
