So I Took the Week Off

This past week I went away to Washington D.C. and left all my jobs behind – 3 nanny jobs, and fundraising. Until you've started fundraising for a longer-short term mission trip you don't realize how much work and effort it takes to raise all the money you need, and how tiring it can become. So I took the week off.

So I needed rest more than anything, and though this week was full of running from one memorial to another, and hurrying through many Smithsonian museums, it was good to be away. I'm glad to be home though, and for the next couple days I will spend resting before going back into my jobs.

My favorite thing that happened this week was running into an Adventures In Missions Encounter group at Union Station. It was so cool!

We were eating Chipotle and a few people wearing green shirts passed by. After they were past mom said, "They had AIM shirts!" Then a few more went by, and sure enough they had green AIM shirts! Me in all my goofiness decided I'd try to wave at them like I knew them, to get there attention… well, as soon I started I stopped waving, 'cause I realized that they don't know me… hahaha I was so excited and glad to see them, but I don't think any of the 20-30 of the team I met were nearly as excited as me…

After eating mom and I started back to the big clock where we were to meet the rest of our group. On our way I saw the AIM team, and decided that I'd walk up to them and say hey, and talk with them. It was SO good! Not only did we briefly talk, but they invited me to pray with them! I loved it! I was with them! Everyday I seem to learn another reason why I'm with AIM, and why I love working with them. I can't wait to be back out with AIM again!
