40 stands for the amount of 18-22 year olds going on the Immersion trip this year.
11,900 is for the base cost each of us have to raise. That’s $476,000 total for the base cost alone. It’snot even counting the student loans, bills, other payments, insurance, equipment, and all that, that will need to be taken care of…

We will be gone for 9 months.

$3,710 is approximately how much I have raised for this journey. Which translates into 31%.
21 June is when I must have 50% of my cost in my AIM account, AKA $6,000.
25 is about how many thank you cards I have written and sent out.
8 – 8 is for the July days we will spend in Georgia for training. Only 8! Yup, we’ll be doing a lot of learning as we go along.

I will need to buy international insurance. I got a quote the other day and it will be about $250 this time.
50 pounds is the weight allowance of my pack. My whole life will once again fit into 50 pounds. It still amazes me that it all fits.
I have 500 bracelets handmade by families in the Philippines. I am selling them for $3 each or 2 for $5 I get 50% of the profits the other 50% goes straight to the families who made them. If you would like to buy some please send me an email.
1 backpack/carry-on. That’s all the airlines will allow me to carry onto the plane… well I’ll be allowed a purse (if I choose to carry one), and my violin.
10GB that is how much memory I have in SD cards for pictures in videos. But I’m not too worried this time… I’m taking Derek (AKA my laptop).
I don’t know how this is going to work – the money and all… I don’tknow where the $11,900 is going to come from… I don’t know where the money for all my supplies/equipment is going to come from… I don’t know where the money for my insurance is going to come from… I don’t know where the money for my travel to training is going to come from… I just don’t know…
God has spoken to me so much about this trip. He’s told me that He hasall the money I need and more… He’s told me He’s in control… He’s told me that I am going on this trip… He’s told me that I need this trip to see, do, learn, grow, and change… He’s told me not to worry… He’s told me to be faithful to Him and trust Him.
I know that God can make this all come together… the money, the travel, the supplies/equipment… I know that God can keep it all in control… I know God can… But here’s the thing: faith is not believing that God can, it’s knowing that He will.
